Meet PCL's New Area Sales Manager for the Central Region - Simon Foxall
Simon Foxall has been appointed Area Sales Manager to cover Central England for tyre inflation and compressed air equipment manufacturer PCL.
Bringing expertise in driving sales through existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities and distribution gaps, Simon most recently managed key accounts for a wholesaler and manufacturer of industrial hardware products. He is delighted to secure his position with PCL, where he has received the customary warm welcome.

PCL gears up for post-pandemic partnership development with new Key Account Manager
Sales professional, Andy Traynor, has joined pneumatics expert PCL as their new Key Accounts Manager, bringing extensive experience in the industrial tools retail market to the role.
After an initial period familiarising himself with the Sheffield-based company’s systems, processes and products, Andy is meeting valued customers across the UK.
He will be introduced to PCL’s key accounts by colleague Robert Gardner, who is working closely with Andy to ensure a smooth handover before he retires from the company.

Why use a Safety Coupling or Adaptor?
Coupling connections are subject to Health and Safety regulations, due to the dangers associated with hose whip. The Health & Safety Guide HSG 39 recommends that for all hoses above 10 mm bore, more than 10 m long or subject to a pressure exceeding 7 bar, the connector should have a self-venting coupling, alternatively an adaptor with a controlled venting action should be used.The use of a self-vent safety coupling ensures that pressure in the circuit is reduced to a safe level before the coupling and adaptor can be disconnected, this prevents accidental tool operation and uncontrolled whipping of the hose.
